This verse is a short hymn of praise to God – a doxology
This verse identifies God as our Lord and saviour
This verse praises God for all his Glory, majesty and dominion over all the earth before the beginning of time, now and forevermore.

GODS GLORY
The glory of God is the beauty and magnificence and perfection of Gods character which is eternal Gods Glory is His honour, His Majesty, His strength, His beauty, His sovereignty, His righteousness
We see Gods glory through the whole bible, through creation and creating us to be his image-bearers, reflecting his characteristics.
We see God Glory through his providence. God cares, God provides, He gives us protection.
God shows His providence through His timing, His will and divine intervention. The way God always had a plan for redemption from the beginning of time.
Gods glory is seen through his redemptive act – the resurrection of Jesus
We need to respond to God's glory by glorifying him and reflecting Gods light, love, compassion and kindness in the way we live our lives. This helps others to see God through and in us.

Psalm 8
1Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
5 You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honour.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
8 the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
GODS MAJESTY
God's majesty is beyond human comprehension, It's a word used to describe Gods immense greatness, splendour, power and glory.
The word "majesty" itself implies regal powers, dignity and grandeur - associated with a king. God has the supreme position as ruler of all creation.

GODS DOMMINION
God's dominion means he is the ruler of heaven and earth; over all he has created. It also implies authority and responsibility.
God has also instructed us to care for and have responsibility over the earth. Our Faith is our dominion, Our faith governs how we rule and care for creation and the earth.
From the very beginning of time when God created us in his image and likeness, he gave us authority to rule and reign over the earth – This was Gods ordained plan for humanity which is Gods divine dominion.

GOD OUR SAVIOUR
We look at trinity -God the father- The son (Jesus)- The Holy Spirit It was through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus we are saved and reconciled to God
God was the one who saved during Old Testament times and following the Crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus we live in a new covenant the New Testament, and Jesus is our saviour, taking on the sins of the world.
