THE LOVING GOD, OUR FATHER

We praise you Lord because you are a loving God and your nature is that Love 

1 JOHN 4:16

"We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them." NLT

"And we have known and believed the love that God hath for us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." KJV

-We need to actively know and trust in Gods Love

-God is the source of all Love, the very essence

-Live a life characterised by Love

-If we live in Love we Live in God

-If we live in God, God lives in us

- Our love for others reflect Gods love us and our Love to him

- Our lives are a dwelling place for Gods Love

- Love is not just something God does, but who he is

- Love is not just an action but in relation to the verse it means being fully connected to God

- This verse signifies having a deep personal connection with God

We are designed to live in community, we all have an inner need to belong and to be loved. Sharing Gods love, living in Gods love, loving others helps us to build community and relationship with each other.

We cant say we love God and then not show love to others.  Once we have given our lives back over God, accepted Jesus as our saviour we then need to live a life that reflects Gods love towards others.

Living in God love brings peace to our lives inwardly, Through faith and trust we live in peace and not in fear.

This verse and many others in the bible can reassure us of Gods Love; of how powerful his love is, hoe sustaining his love is, how sacrificial his love is and how forgiving his love is. We can live in a strong assurance that God loves us unconditionally and eternally

Prayer

Thankyou father that you are a loving God. 

Thankyou that the very nature of you is love. 

Thankyou that we can live and dwell in you love.

 Thankyou that your Love is tangible in our lives. 

Thankyou that we can live withing an intimate relationship with you and can call you father.

 Thankyou that you gave your son to die for us so that we can live in this relationship with you through believing in the power of the cross, through believing that Jesus is our saviour. 

Thankyou for our church family so that we are able to live in community and relationship with you and each other. 

Father help us to be a beacon of light for your love to others around us.

 Help us to be a reflection of your love to others around us so in return they also come to know of you and live within your Love and peace.
