THE GOD WHO ANSWERS PRAYER

08/03/2025

"I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking to me about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!" NLT

"And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." KJV

"Before they even call out to me, I will answer them; before they've finished telling me what they need, I'll have already heard." TPT

"Even before they finish praying to me, I will answer their prayers"

Prayer grows and establishes our relationship with God

Prayer is our defence against the enemy

We need to be proactive in our prayer life

When our communication is broken between us and God. Our relationship with God breaks down. This is when the enemy sneaks in.

Praise - praise God for who he is and for what he has done

REPENT- of sins we have committed and commandments we have rejected

ASK - ask for the needs of others and ourselves

YIELD - yield our will to Gods will, and his agenda for our lives

PRAY

PRAISE

Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name

KINGDOM

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven

DAILY BREAD

Give us this day our daily bread

CONFESSION

And forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors

SPRITUAL WARFARE

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever

LISTEN

Amen

AMEN

- Agree with God
- Move with God
- End with God
- Never doubt God
All his promises are yes and amen !

When we pray we need to lean into scripture and all the promises of God...

Exodus 14:41 "The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still"

Isaiah 40:29 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak"

Isaiah 40:31" Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"

Isaiah 41:10"So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"

Sometimes God answers our prayers instantly, in the way we expected, Sometimes we have to pray for a long time showing Faith, trust and reliance on God, deepening our relationship and faith in Him and all he is.

Sometimes answers never come or we don't get what we prayed for. This is painful and hard to understand.

I have experienced times in my life when my prayers have been answered and times when breakthroughs haven't come, My prayers still remain unanswered.... disappointment and grief  has been so painful.

Its in those moments that I have had to dig deep and ask myself, ask God - "what have I learnt ? What beautiful thing has God brough out of my disappointment and grief ? What can I offer to others out of my unanswered prayers ? How have I grown as a person ? How has my relationship with God deepened ?

Answered Prayers are a miracle,  But unanswered prayers can also turn into something beautiful.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We praise you because you are the God who hears all our prayers, you know our needs before we even say them out loud. You want to pour out blessings on our lives. May our prayers align with your will for our lives, may they guide us and keep us walking in relationship with you, leaning in on all the promises you pour over us.  Father give us the strength and faith to keep trusting you when prayers seem unanswered, when breakthrough doesn't come in our timing. We know you are the God who loves us more than we can ever know or understand. Father, its painful when prayers are unanswered or not answered in the way we were hoping for, so we pray you give us strength in these times to draw closer to you, knowing you are still the faithful God, still the loving father, help us to make something beautiful out of our unanswered prayers.

In Jesus name we pray.
Amen

We are looking at the unanswered prayers course in our church life group. We are currently up to week 2 and I am finding these so helpful, so I am just adding them to this blog for you to watch.....
