MARVELLOUS MARCH

DAY 25

THE FORTRESS, REFUGE, Father, you are my rock and my salvation. You are my refuge and fortress. I shall not be moved. My refuge is in you! 

Psalms 62:6-7

For he alone is my safe place. His wraparound presence always protects me as my champion defender. There's no risk of failure with God! So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me? God's glory is all around me! His wraparound presence is all I need, for the Lord is my Saviour, my hero, and my life-giving strength. TPT

He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
 My victory and honour come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. NLT

He's solid rock under my feet,
breathing room for my soul,
An impregnable castle:
I'm set for life.

My help and glory are in God. MSG

He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defence; I shall not be moved.

In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength and my refuge is in God. KJV

God is our source of strength and security

God is our true refuge

God is reliable - we will not be shaken or moved when we put our reliance in God alone, we will stand firm in Gods Love and promises

Our salvation comes from God alone

Our strength comes from God alone

The Psalmist David fully trusts in Gods unwavering nature and power. David faced many enemies, persecution, and uncertainties but he focused on God! He shows true faith, trust and resilience on God. David's strength and security came from his relation ship with God, from fully trusting and believing in the power of God, the love of God, and the strength of God.

We need to put our trust and faith in God - 

God our fortress is who we go to for our defence. He is the God who provides our safety in out times of trouble, he is our strong hold, our place of safety.

God is our protector and our defender, he provides security and safety.

God is our refuge, he helps and sustains us during times of difficulty. He is all powerful and all loving.

God our rock is unchanging, he is a constant and consistent source of strength and reliability.

Prayer

For the God of my salvation,

for my rock, for God my own;

in this hour my soul is waiting

silently, for God alone.

While He shields me as a fortress,

shaken I will never be.

Tho' the foe assails the stronghold,

nothing can unsettle me.

Wait, my soul, in perfect stillness;

find your hope in God alone.

While you rest in His salvation,

you cannot be overthrown.

Wait, my soul, grow strong in waiting;

glory in your God, and rest;

meditate on His perfections,

read His comforts, and be blest.

Do not place your trust in riches,

nor in men of high degree;

hear the words your God has spoken:

"Pow'r to help belongs to Me."

Trust Him always, all His people;

pour your heart out at His throne.

God will be your rock, your refuge—

place your trust in Him alone.
