THE FORGIVING GOD - I want to bless you with praise, Father "you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love"

NEHEMIAH 9:17

 They refused to obey and did not remember the miracles you had done for them. Instead, they became stubborn and appointed a leader to take them back to their slavery in Egypt.[a] But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love. You did not abandon them, NLT

And they refused to obey, neither were mindful of Thy wonders that Thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But Thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness, and forsookest them not. KJV

"They refused to obey and didn't pay any attention to the miracles you did for them; instead, they rebelled and appointed a leader to take them back into slavery in Egypt! But you are a God of forgiveness, always ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and full of love and mercy; you didn't abandon them, TLB

They turned a deaf ear, they refused
to remember the miracles you had done for them;
They turned stubborn, got it into their heads
to return to their Egyptian slavery.
And you, a forgiving God,
gracious and compassionate,
Incredibly patient, with tons of love—
you didn't dump them. THE MESSAGE

Psalm 103:12 illustrates  the vastness of God's forgiveness

Micha 7:18:19 tells us and marvels at God's ability to pardon our sins and pass over transgressions, emphasizing his delight in mercy 

Ephesians 4 encourages us to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving, mirroring Gods forgiveness in Christ

Gods forgiveness is a gift of Grace, not something earned or through good deeds. The sacrifice of Jesus has paid the cost for all our iniquities, all or sin, all our transgressions. God's forgiving nature reflects his character of love and compassion. 

Gods forgiveness is a model for how we should treat each other, We are to be encouraged to show mercy and compassion to others and within relationships.

We can live in freedom from our gilt and past shame.

Gods forgiveness paths the way for us as believers to live a more faithful life, it encourages us to change our ways into living a life that pleases God and reflects his character.
