THE EVERLASTING FATHER
Isaiah 9:6
" for unto us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called wonderful councelor, mighty God, EVERLASTING FATHER, prince of peace" esv
GOD AS A FATHER LOVES
- HE ADDOPTED ME
EPHESIANS 1:5 NLT "God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus this is what he wanted to do, and it gives him great pleasure"
- HE LOVES ME
1 JOHN 3:1a ESV "See what kind of love the father has given to us, so that we should be called children of God"
GOD THE FATHER FORGIVES
- HE FORGIVES ME
PSALM 103:12 ESV "As far as the east is from the west, so far he has removed our transgressions from us"
- HE FILLS ME WHEN I AM EMPTY
ROMANS 15:13 HE FILLS ME WITH JOY AND PEACE " May the God of help fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy spirit you may abound in hope"
EPHESIANS 3:19 HE FILLS ME WITH HIS FULLNESS AS GOD " To know the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God"
COLOSSINS 1:9 HE FILLS ME WITH THE KNOWLAGE OF HIS WILL " For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the spirit gives"
- HE STAYS NEAR TO ME
DEUTERONOMY 4:7 ESV "for what great nation is there that has a God so near to as as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call upon Him"
ABBA FATHER PROVIDES

MATTHEW 7:11 " If you then who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"
- HE KEEPS HIS PROMISES
DEUTERONOMY7:9 "Know therefore that the LORD your GOD is GOD. The faithful GOD who keeps his covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments"
- HE FULFILLS HIS PURPOSE FOR ME
PSALM 57:2 " I cry out to GOD most high, to GOD who fulfils his purpose for me
GOD IS A FAITHFUL FATHER
-HE ALWAYS HAS MY BEST INTREST IN MIDN
PSALM 139:16-19 "Your eyes say my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them. If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake and i am still with you"
-HE IS FAITHFUL
1 CORINTHIANS 1:9 "God is faithful by whom you were called into fellowship of his son. Jesus Christ our Lord"
God the father is our PROTECTOR and PROVISION. God the father is also our DISCAPLINE-
PSALM 23:4 "HIS ROD AND STAFF COMFORT ME
This is a verse of comfort - correction and direction.
His rod points us in the right direction as an instrument of protection.
His staff, this is to hook us back to Jesus when we wonder off in the wrong direction.
God loves us so much as a father he wants to guide us in the direction of right paths, when we wonder from his path, he guides us back and brings us home to him.
His discipline is because he loves us.
EVERLASTING GOD
PSALM 103:17 "But from everlasting to everlasting the LORDS love is with those who fear him and his righteousness with their children's children
ISAIAH 40:28-31 " Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting GOD. The creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom . He gives strength to the weary, and young men stumble and fall: but those who hope in the LORD will renew strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint
We need to know that GOD is our ABBA father. We have been adopted into his family. He loves us. He forgives us. He fills us when we are empty. He is always near to us. He is our protector. He is a faithful father who keeps all of his promises for our lives. He always has our best interests in mind. He is our discipline, he wants to guide us and lead us along right paths.
Regardless of our earthly father experiences, GOD our father rises above any earthly father definitions. He is ABBA father.
GOD the father is the very definition of love, grace and compassion. He offers us salvation through Jesus. He is faithful to keep his promises. He is the giver and sustainer of our lives. His power and love goes beyond human understanding. He is personally and emotionally involved in our lives.
