PSALM 28:7

This is something I created in one of the monthly journaling scripture challenges  I do with a group of friends from Church. The image is a design inspired by Willowing . I use her for a lot of inspiration for many of my mixed media art.

PSALM 28:7

YAHWHE IS MY STRENGTH AND MY WRAPAROUND SHIELD.

WHEN I FULLY TRUST ON YOU 

HELP IS ON MY WAY

I JUMP WITH JOY AND BURST FORTH WITH ECSTATIC PRAISE

I WILL SING SONGS OF WHAT YOU MEAN TO ME

MY HEART TRUSTED HIM

AND I AM HELPED

THEREFOR MY HEART GREATLY REJOICETH

AND WITH MY SONG I WILL PRAISE HIM

David prays for God to hear him, noticing the distinction between himself and those who reject God. Because he honours the Lord. David expects to be spared from the fate of evil people. Prior experiences in David life have made David confidant in Gods protection, which is a theme that David encourages all Gods children to embrace.

This Psalm give thanks to the Lord for answering David's Prayer. David's response is to trust the Lord wholeheartedly. Trust in the Lord transformed his fear into peace and his trials into triumph. Gods power and protection are seen clearly in David's praise. 

God is the source of David's power and protection. David rejoices in the Lord and sings praises to him because of this.

David recognizes that the Lord enables him to be strong in the face of his enemies oppression. 

David's faith in God is built on facts.  He knows and believes God is who he says he is, and he has experienced the strength and protection of God before.

We can all look back through our life journeys and see all the times God has been our strength and shield. 

We can look back and see all our answered prayers .

We can look back and see all the times in our life God has kept his promises to us.

These are our stepping stones of faith, these are our experiences where our faith and trust in God have grown, where God has brought us through. We fully know God is our source of strength and our shield.

Our hearts trust God. We have received his help before, he has never failed us . So we can believe, know and Trust that God is our strength and Shield and he can and will bring us through whatever we are facing in life.  God will help us again and again!

And because of this our hearts are glad, even in difficult times. We are thankful and glad of all God has done and all he will continue to do for us.

So we give thanks and praise to God through worship and song.

Every breakthrough, answered prayer brings us an opportunity to rejoice and be thankful .

if you are going through something difficult right now , look back and recall all the times God has been your strength and shiled and confidently trust and know that he is still your strength today in this moment. And praise him for all he has done for you , all your heart believes he is and for all that he will continue to do x
